Welcome to cottagepastures.com, operated by Cottage Pastures LLC, Vevay, Indiana. By using this site or placing an order, you agree to these terms.
Ordering. When you place an order, you’re making an offer to buy. We confirm by email; a confirmation means we’ve accepted. We may decline or cancel an order (with full refund) if an item is unavailable, mispriced, or we can’t ship to your location.
Pre-orders & deposits. Some items (seasonal garlic, first-run teas, bulk meat deposits) are sold as pre-orders with estimated ship or pickup windows stated on the product page. Pre-order deposits are non-refundable, as they reserve product and inputs on your behalf.
Pricing & availability. We’re a small-batch farm; items sell out. Prices may change, but never on an order you’ve already placed. Weight-based items (whole birds, roasts) are sold at a flat package price based on the average weight stated on the product page.
Shipping & risk. Title and risk of loss pass to you on delivery to the carrier. We pack frozen goods carefully with dry ice, but transit times are the carrier’s responsibility; see our Shipping & Refund Policy for how we make things right.
Local pickup & events. Pickup orders must be collected within 7 days of the notified ready date. Because we pull pickup orders straight from the freezer at the time of pickup, a missed pickup carries no penalty — we’ll simply reschedule it or refund you. Event tickets are transferable anytime and refundable up to 7 days before the event. Farm visits occur on a working farm — closed-toe shoes recommended; visitors assume ordinary rural-premises risks and agree to supervise children.
Acceptable use. Don’t misuse the site — no scraping, hacking, infringing our content, or interfering with its operation. Our text, photographs, and designs are ours; please don’t reuse them without permission.
Products & claims. We describe our food honestly and to the best of our knowledge. Statements about our farming practices and products are not evaluated by the FDA and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
Disclaimers & limitation of liability. The site and products are provided “as is” to the fullest extent permitted by law. We’re not liable for indirect or consequential damages; our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it.
Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana; venue lies in Switzerland County, Indiana.
Changes. We may update these terms; the version posted here governs your use.
